EDMONTON INTERNATION FRINGE FESTIVAL

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Edmonton International Fringe Festival, Riyaz was one of four Edmonton artists selected to create a shirt to commemorate the occasion. After meeting with the event organizers and viewing hundreds of photos and videos and asking people's opinions of the festival, Riyaz began to create some concepts he thought would showcase the overall experience at the Fringe, wanting the shirt to be fun and for all ages to enjoy. He showcased the indoor and outdoor experience a festival-goer would remember.

One concept that was a very close to be selected was made into a puzzle. This illustration highlighted each of the 40 years of the Fringe envisioning them as books, each shelf representing the indoor and outdoor elements of the Fringe that made the festival memorable to generations of theatre fans.
