Riyaz was approached by the organizer of the Silver Skate Festival about creating illustrations of Elder Whiskeyjack’s interpretation of the medicine wheel. With some in-depth research and the information provided, he created something he thought best represented the medicine wheel. This six-foot-tall illustration was approved by the Elder and was on display at the 2022 Silver Skate Festival. This was Riyaz’s first public art installation.
